January update - Gig 127 The Sun Inn, Beverley

Apparently, there were three private parties in The Sun for this gig. No wonder it was a laugh! This was such fun that a bit of wee actually came out. Towards the end of the night the sound of the singalong was as loud as the PA! Great night. Thank you all!

January 2012 - Gig 126 Floral Hall, Hornsea.
This was a bit different! Start setting up at 10pm; soundcheck at 11; start playing at 12.30am. (A...M...!!) Niels was the tiredest human in history and had to be resuscitated twice. Floral is a big place to play, so it was nice to unleash the p.a. and give it full beans for once. Wow. We only had to do one set, too, so managed to get home for a respectable 3.30am. Niels hasn't woken up yet. We think he's still backstage somewhere......

December 2011 - Gig 125 Beverley Scooter Club Christmas party.
Some private parties can be a slog because people, understandably, like to catch up with friends at the bar, away from the noisy band. Not these lot! They were dancing from the first song. All I can say, is that this was the best private do we've ever done. Simple as that. See YouTube footage...

November update - Gig 124 The Highway, Hull
After our last gig here was spoiled by noise regs (not Highway's fault) we were a little worried about what lay on store. Things were very different tonight however, and Jo had a bit more freedom to let us play at a sensible (not deafening!) volume and good turn-out of friends and family helped to make it a great night.

November 2011 - Gig 123 Black Bull, Burton Pidsea
We thought we were playing at Hare and Hounds in Burstwick, until the landlord rang us to say we were at his other pub down the road. Riiight. Luckily, our travelling support were flexible and they played a blinder. Nice place to play, this, cosy and intimate!

October update - Gig 122 Cavalier Club, Hull
Second time we'd played at the Cavalier. Always get a good sound here, and the stage layout (with dressing room) is a joy. Shame tonight that we struggled to engage the audience until the third set, when the dancefloor filled! You get nights like this I suppose. Played quite well though....ho hum!

October Update - Gig 121 The Bevvy, Hull
Nice to see a few friends of the band we'd missed of late tonight (you know who you are!). Always a nice crowd here who seem to appreciate our efforts. Had to dedicate Psycho Killer to the heron that has emptied Chris' pond of his goldfish. Bastard.

October 2011 - Gig 120 The Sun Inn, Beverley
Home gig. New landlords tonight, so who was behind the bar? Debbie and Lisa! Eh? Apparently, the new gaffer was on his hols and left them in charge. Fool ;-) We played our usual stuff on a hot and sweaty night (thought this was autumn!) and it was brill as usual. There's some new footage of tonight's gig (in HD) on YouTube. Or, if you like, I've put shortcuts to them on the Videos page of this site. I can't make it any easier, for you, I'm sorry....

September 2011 - Gig 119 Georgie's Bar, Driffield
After having had to cancel our last gig for last minute work commitments (gotta put tea on the table!) we turned up in Driffield and found that we were to play on the first floor of the wine bar. So..get the gear up the stairs then. No-one in, apart form Paul, who was the most enthusiastic fan we've ever had. That stayed the same until the second set when everyone came from nowhere! great night in the end. PS Chris, when you was a kid, did your mum....etc....?

PARKERS GIG CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES - SORRY!

August 2011 - Gig 118 Goodmanham Arms, Goodmanham
This was a real unknown for us, having been asked by the landlord to play, we said yes without knowing even where we were going! What a hoot this turned out to be. Playing in a marquee in the pub yard on a lovely summer's night with a crowd who'd been on the sauce all afternoon. Mana from Nirvana, that! Everyone was up and dancing and the beer was fab! Go. You'll love it.

SPORTSMAN GIG CANCELLED DUE TO SINGERS BAD COLD!! APOLOGIES FOLKS.

July Update - Gig 117 Private Party, North Cave.
I would have had us going to North Newbald if the more intelligent members of the band hadn't put me right! Amy Winehouse had died earlier in the day, so the omens were iffy. Still, Steve and Helen had forged ahead with their plans and decided to let us loose on their friends anyway. Gig was good. Hog Roast was world class. I was pushing it through for days....

July 2011 - Gig 116 The Sun Inn, Beverley
After a month out of action due to commitments with our day-jobs (bloody amateurs, us!) we returned to action on home ground. We had done a bit of rehearsing though to blow the cobwebs off. Despite this we still managed a couple of top cock-ups! Well, what do you expect? This was our last gig at The Sun before Lisa and Debbie hand over to a new management team. Mant thanks to them for all the great nights they (and the customers) have given us over the years.

May update - Gig 115 The White Horse, Hull
Our second consecutive debut saw us play on Champions League Final night, so it was fairly quiet in the town centre. Still, we set up and soundchecked as per. The "intimate" stage meant we were set up cheek-to-jowl, and even John wore ear plugs to protect his ear from the drums on his shoulder! Tony had forgotten his shoes, so played in his civvies for a change. Come set-time a few friendly faces had braved the rain and it was a like playing a private gig with close friends! God bless you all!

May 2011 - Gig 114 The Tap, Hull
This was our debut at The Tap. Weirdly, this pub is bigger on the inside than the outside! We thought it would be tight for space but it was actually spot on, with a great sound. Tonight being landlady Carla's farewell, the crowd was in party mood and gave us a great night. Cheers!!

April update - Gig 113 Sun Inn, Beverley
Aww..Royal Wedding day! This being a bank holiday, we assumed it might be a packed house and we were right. Got set up and by the time we went on it was cheek to jowl time. Highlight of the night was 50s-soft-shoe-shuffle-straw-panama-dude! "You have no idea how off-putting that is, mate" to quote our dazed singer. Nice to see Beverley Scooter Club out in force too. See you back here soon!but gig

April update - Gig 112 Round The Corner, Hull
Our debut at RTC was not exactly heaving, but nevertheless we had a good time. We worried that the sound would be too bright (wooden floors etc) but it was actually spot-on. Those who were there were very supportive though. Cheers!

April 2011 - Gig 111 Bevvy, Hull
We arrived knowing there would be a rugby match on so had the first half to set up, sounchecked during half-time (to the second!) and went on at the final hooter. Highlights were John's mate and his expert dancing lady (tiring just watching her!), and Tony getting the By The Way lyrics wrong and ad-libbing in his own quirky way. "Did I get away with that?..."

March 2011 - Gig 110 Skippers Tavern, Hull
This was a gig sorted by our fixer Frank so we turned up not knowing what to expect. manageress Janet said it might be a quiet night as she'd only been putting bands on three weeks. It was quiet until we went on then people started filing in. By the end we had a full dance floor and a bloke who screamed "I'M COVERED IN CRABS!" into Tony's mic. Priceless! Thanks to The legends for their fab support.

February update - Gig 109 Barbara's 80th
Chris' mum's 80th birthday, so we played support to the Shivna Irish Dancers. Just one set, so we could get drunk afterwards. Great night and happy birthday mum!

February 2011 - Gig 108 Sun Inn, Beverley
This was the first of a two-nighter weekend. Debbie had made it clear "Don't touch the piano!" So to be extra careful, we considerately covered the lid in a chain-mail dust-sheet before standing our backdrop of hacksaws and paint-stripper thereon. She was ok about it surprisingly, although i do miss my teeth. Gig was brill, by the way...

January 2011 - Gig 107 Cavalier Club, Hull
Wow - 2011. Another year begins, and for us it started with our debut at the Cavalier Club. Never know what to expect from a club like this, but were pleasantly surprised. Welcoming hosts and an appreciative audience, together with great sound in the room made for an enjoyable night. We'll be back... (said in strange Austrian/American accent).

December 2010 - Gig 106 Sun Inn Beverley
Illness in the band forced a few canellations in the run up to this one, so to be honest we were slightly below our best. Luckily everyone else was too drunk to notice. Phew! Sick to death of snow now, roll on 2011,

POLAR BEAR GIG ON SAT 4 DEC CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS

OCTOBER 2010

BARHAM GIG ON SAT 23 OCT IS CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS. SINCERE APLOLOGIES.

September update - Gig 105 Highway, Hull
This was the second gig since the summer layoff and we had shuffled the set into a random order which worked well. Unfortunately The Highway is under the Noise Reg Thumb at the moment so we had to play (very) quietly in the first set. The pub filled as the night went on so we were able to filter in more of the PA which thankfully brought the gig to life. we'll have to learn an acoustic set......

September 2010 - Gig 104 Polar Bear, Hull
First gig after our summer layoff. We were all tanned, refreshed, and in the zone. The roadies had set up all the gear, our penthouse hotel suite was perfect, and the limo (stretch Lamborghini) was on time, air-conditioned and driven by that woman off the Cadbury's Flake ad. I then woke up, packed the trailer and drove to the gig. Which went well.

August update - Gig 103 Ryder Club, Hull
This is Pam and Terry's new venture and looks like it has the makings of great venue. Tonight it felt like we were being used as pest control to rid the place of an infestation of tight-lipped grey-haired old battleaxes. You could hear the sound of air being sucked through dentures the moment we started bringing the gear in. Some clung on for grim death while others took the hint that this place is changing and left. A return visit is planned, by which time hopefully the bingo (and it's bizarrely dressed and rather pungent caller) will be history.

July update - Gig 102 The Highway, Hull
This was our first gig at The Highway without Pam and Terry as hosts. We wish them all the best in their new employment and hope to see them soon! Another sweltering night. We really must buy a fan! Highlights of the night were John's new (and splendid) solo in Molly's Chambers the sheer quality of which was raised later in Prime Minister's Question Time; and also Niels' reworking of the bass line to This Charming Man a full tone down for gravitas. Always pushing the boundaries, us. x

July 2010 - Gig 101 The Sun Inn, Beverley
This was a Beverley Races weekend and a sweltering one at that! So, it was bound to be a good night. Lots of people in their sports casual attire who had beaten the bookies and were up for a good time. It was absolutely roasting though, and noise regs mean we can't open any windows. We had to stop at 12 on the nose, but would have gone on longer as it was really rocking by the end. See you back here soon.

June 2010 - Gig 100 The Polar Bear, Hull
Our 100th gig saw us playing on the same night as England's opening World Cup match against USA. We had to get there early to set up before the kick off. England drew 1-1, and we drew a crowd who all filtered in from the Avenues after the game ended. Super night in the end with much mirth and St Georges flags.

June 2010 - Gig 99 The Bevvy, Hull
Manager Steve always makes us feel welcome here and we were greeted by a change in layout to the corner we played in last time. Much better now, having more of the back wall to spread across. There were plenty in tonight too so we had some good banter with the audience, even if some of it was unintelligable!

May 2010 - Gig 98 Red Hawk, Brough.
First gig for five months and we were a bit apprehensive. We had rehearsed the set a good few times to make sure Tony's voice was OK, so we knew he could sing it and that we could play it. There were untested things though like the PA which had laid dormant for months and also playing live is soo different to rehearsing. Anyway, it all went off well in the end. Thanks to all the dancers, especially the oldest swinger in town. Good on yer, pal!

MAY 2010: GOOD NEWS! Following a faster-than-expected recovery, Tony has been able to resume singing and we've been rehearsing for a few weeks now. Tony's voice is much better that it's been for many months, thanks to a complete layoff and we're back up to ramming speed.

January 2010 - Gig 97 The Highway,Hull
The snow that buggered our last gig up has finally gone, so this was our first gig of 2010. We'd done a couple of nights rehearsal so weren't too rusty. If only our microphones felt the same: Tony got through 2 mic leads (Norman Collier syle) and the bass drum mic freaked out in one song (sticky beer-soaked connection to blame for that). Still enjoyed it though and thanks to all who came. Bless ya!

PLEASE NOTE POLAR BEAR GIG 8 JANUARY CANCELLED DUE TO TRAVEL HAZARDS!!! SORRY EVERYONE, SEE YOU SOON.

December update - Gig 96 Private Party, Ganstead.
This was Mathew's 30th birthday bash at Ganstead Golf Club, and it was great to see some old friends from the Bilton British Legion Club again. Nice stage to play on too. Everyone in a Xmas mood so the dance floor was busy and it brought our year to a nice close. Have a Happy New Year everyone and see you all in 2010!

December update - Gig 95 The Sun Inn, Beverley.
It's snowed! A lot. Just getting the trailer hitched onto the car was like It's A Knockout! Far too slippery and difficult with gloved sausage-fingers. All that was missing was a Stuart Hall commentary and someone throwing wet sponges at us. We were worried that not many would turn out, but it is Christmas after all, and it turned out to be a full house. Nice to see our Beverley Scooter Club pals out on their Xmas do too. And, we were treated to a bowl of stew afterwards. Marvellous!

December 2009 - Gig 94 The Highway, Hull
The start of our Christmas build-up! Tonight, we debuted Ruby, Parklife, and wheeled Merry Christmas Everybody out too. The sound seemed spot-on too tonight. Weird how we've sometimes had to work at our sound here, yet tonight it was great from the off. Thanks to those who cheered, and those who threw thongs!

November update - Gig 93 Cross Keys, Hull
This gig was remarkable in that nothing refused to work; we didn't make any hilarious mistakes; no-one spilled beer on the gear; the crowd behaved; we got home safely; had showers and then continued with our lives. Huzzah!

November 2009 - Gig 92 Polar Bear, Hull
Well, we're back. After a month layoff while Niels and Sally tied the knot (married, not vasectomy) it was great to make our return at The Polar Bear. We'd been kept busy concentrating on a mini acoustic set for the wedding reception so were a little bit rusty with the normal set list, but not too bad under the circumstances. Like 4 dogs let off the lead at last, not particularly under control, but having fun!

October update - Gig 91 Levisham, North Yorks.
Private gig at the Pickering war weekend festival, this. A one-in-five gradient at Levisham Bank pulling the trailer in my old car left me with no traction either on the road or in my underwear. Having been waved across the steam railway by some German sentrys (yes, really) we arrived in need of a brandy. Still we'd made it, and played from a double garage to a band of enthusiastic guests. Everyone was so welcoming we didn't really want to leave. I'd recommend a visit if you've never been.

October update - Gig 90 Red Hawk, Brough
Trailer has had electrical overhaul by band sparky/singer Tony and drummer/varnisher Chris finished off the project. What a team performance. Brawn GP team, watch out! We also debuted our new gig backdrop tonight (thanks Glenn) so we felt crisp and twinkling before we even started. Blimmin' hot in the pub tonight and it was a great atmosphere again. Thanks to all who danced, especially to our impromtu REM cover. And a complementary cuppa to finish off! Marvellous.

October 2009 - Gig 89 The Highway, Hull
A week of slaving saw Niels and John pimp our trailer to get more gear in, only for John to capsize it while finishing the welding off. Oh how we laughed, til we realized it had broken the rear lights. Still it worked eventually and luckily The Highway is our nearest pub, so no worries after all. Plenty had come to see us and it was a great night again. Thanks to Pam and Terry for their usual hospitality. See you back here in December.

September 2009 - Gig 88 The Bevvy, Beverley Rd, Hull
This was a hastily arranged gig, stepping in for Reloaded as they couldn't make it. This was to be the first of an eight week run of live Friday Night bands, so no pressure then! We had to get set up before Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos came on the box, and soundcheck at half time! Everything worked thank God, so we went on proper at full time. We played well up to the point that some tit spilt beer down the mixer. We dried it off and it worked fine. Hope it's ok for next gig....

September 2009 - Gig 87 The Sun Inn, Beverley
Great to be back at the Sun again. We had a few come to watch us despite it being on the same night as Hull's Freedom Festival. So, we were competing against Peter Andre and Aleysha Dixon. 9 oclock came and the pub was empty. Hmm, Dixon and Andre seemed to have won. Come 9.25 it was full! Bit of a relief, that, so we went on and enjoyed ourselves, debuting a band favourite Ace of Spades into the bargain. See you here again in December.

August 2009 - Gig 86 Wedding Do, Hull
Glen and Gaynor got married today and in a moment of madness asked us to play! So we dusted off our summer-mothballed gear and did. When we'd finished, Glen picked up his bass and joined the rest of The Unknown Legends for an end of night set. Great fun, especially when he and Gaynor cut the wedding cake still in Kiss face paint! Ace.

July update - Gig 85 Polar Bear, Hull
This gig was in doubt until the day before as one of us had a family illness and wasn't sure if they'd be home to play. So, traumatic week, but all systems were go in the end. Our PA is a bit like an Italian Countess. A beauty when it's in the mood, as long as you treat it right! And tonight it was mended, and in the mood at last. We were asked by the management to play an extra 15 mins at the end, so we did. 32 Songs played tonight, and we're knackered! Good job we're on our break now. Off to get a tan (well, pink anyway). See you all in September. x

July 2009 - Gig 85 The Red Hawk, Brough
This was the second time we'd played in Brough in a month, and the atmosphere was good from the off. Nursing slight hangovers, we got set up and everything was going well until stage-right-woofer once again let us down during the first set. A quick flash of the soldering iron rectified matters though and we had full sound throughout the second set. Tony's sister Lynne brought a full rounders team to cheer us on and it was bouncing by the end. We've been invited back in October so see you all then!

June update - Gig 84 The Highway, Hull
We turned up to this one thinking we had fixed our P.A. speaker. Wrong! Once we had stopped panicking thinking how many friends had come to see us (one from the south coast), Tony and Niels went to get the back-up pair. They actually sounded really good, so we know if the worst happens, we have a plan B in future. As I've said lots of mates came tonight, got really drunk (Bird-a-fraider!! etc), and cheered a lot before falling over. Marvellous. Next week off. See you at Red Hawk, when Tony will join the over 40's club. It's like being in the Stones this, only without the money, fame.. and women....and roadies...

June update - Gig 83 Blackies Club, Brough
This was a footy fundraiser and the club itself has a great stage. We also had a DJ to share the load, which was a godsend as one of our speaker cabs decided not to work. Fortunately our mate on the decks had a spare pair of speakers! Phew. We managed to get the sound sorted, and together with Godzilla the Amp at the right volume, we had a good sound. First set was a bit hard to get everyone "in", but by the second set we had 'em. Thanks to Richard for the invite and all who danced!

June 2009 - Gig 82 Springhead, Hull
Last time we played here, we almost outnumbered the audience, but tonight was much more populated. A big thanks to all who came to cheer. John debuted his new all-valve amp which, it seems, makes Krakatoa seem like Julian Clary. And he was only playing on "4". It was a bit like watching him trying to ride Godzilla in a rodeo show. The bass drum also had a new mic to speak through, so our sound was beefy to say the least. We'll need another gig, I think, to get everything rebalanced. It'll be fun trying though!

May update - Gig 81 Roman bath, York
This was the furthest afield we've played to date. Thankfully the trailer held up to its marathon trip and once we'd found the pub amidst York's maze of tiny cobbled streets, we got unloaded ok. Great turn-out as it had been York Races so the town centre was buzzing in the sunshine. We played well too and the atmosphere was ace (21% oxygen). Thanks to the staff at the Roman Bath who made us feel very welcome and we hope to be back again soon. Rumour has it John'll have a kick-ass new amp for next gig. Watch this space.......

May update - Gig 80 Sun Inn, Beverley
This gig was nearly cancelled as Tony had been suffering with Mongolian Ant Flu and had been off work fighting the urge to carry huge eggs around his neighbourhood. Well he had a bad throat, anyway, and even struggled to get through a soundcheck. But the old adrenaline kicked in and he was fine in the end. We love playing here and even debuted Living for the Weekend by Hard-Fi. We only wished noise regs would allow the doors to be opened on hot nights like this! See you all again soon.

May 2009 - Gig 79 KP Club, Pocklington
We were invited here to play at the Club's 1st Birthday Bash. So here we were again a matter of weeks since our last visit, although this time there were 10 times as many present. This being our third consecutive week gigging, we were fairly sharp and went down very well. Thanks to Paul for inviting us again.
Right, tomorrow is our band curry night out for Niels' 63rd birthday, so expect to see four flatulent fatties in Beverley town centre, shlurrinng their wooordsh....hic..

April update - Gig 78 Highway, Hull
This was a smooth gig. All the gear worked fine, we only made a few mistakes (well what do you expect at a Birdafraider gig?) and the crowd were great. High points were the bar girls' synchronized Psycho Killer dance, Barry's crazy dancing without spilling a drop, and just how flipping hot it was! Wish noise regs would allow us to open doors!

April 2009 - Gig 77 Polar Bear, Hull
It always amazes us how people will applaud almost anything when they've had a beer. Thank Good God for that. At points tonight we played like we had senile dementia. Still, as long we keep laughing we'll be fine. One high point was Tony spotting and inviting Steve from The Rile in the audience to sing London Calling, which he duly did. Shame they've called it a day as a band. Anyway, Highway next week. We'll be great, you watch.......

March update - Gig 76 KP Club, Pocklington.
If there's a posher place in the universe to play than here, I'd like to see it! The toilets have a better telly than my house. With a good few friends who had made the trip, we had a great night. This being our second gig in seven days, we played really well, and with a backdrop of a decked terrace overlooking the vale of York, it was an experience to remember. So this how the other half must live....

March 2009 - Gig 75 The Springhead, Anlaby.
It's taken us long enough to play this venue, but we finally got a call up from the Polar Bear management, who have taken over here. We only got a week's notice so it was on a very quiet night that we played. Still those that were there made a good fist of it (thanks) and we've got a couple more dates coming up, so maybe it will be a little fuller then!

February 2009 - Gig 74 Sun Inn, Beverley.
This was a special gig for us as it came shortly after a good friend of the band had passed away. We managed to raise £330 for Macmillan Nurses and Dove House in our magic bucket. Thanks to everyone who put your cash in. You all did fab! As far as the gig goes, I don't remember seeing it this full ever before. Crikey. What a night to totally cock-up a Killers Song! Julie would have been looking down and peeing herself! God Bless. x

STOP PRESS Bilton Legion Gig on 22/3 is CANCELLED
Due to reorganisation at Bilton Legion our gig on 22/3 has had to be cancelled. Hopefully we will get some more bookings at this great venue when things get back on track.

January update - Gig 73 Polar Bear, Hull
Oh dear. It's halfway through February and I've just realized I hadn't written a report on this gig! What a turd. We've been busy getting two new songs ready though you see, sir, and I forgot my kit, I have a veruca, and a note from my mum. Please don't beat me again. Anyway, Polar Bear was as good as ever. Loads there, most of whom sang and danced like good 'uns. Thank you all, and I promise to be more punctual next time. Dunce. x

January 2009 - Gig 72 Highway, Hull
Happy new year! Skint? Join the club. We have started the new year with a complete image overhaul: Niels has a beard. however, other commitments had meant we hadn't rehearsed since the last gig, so we were a bit worried, but we did ok all things considered. Probably buoyed by the new stage (Personality Lift!) which improved the sound somehow. Lots of familiar faces tonight, so thanks everyone and see you back here soon.

December update Gig 71 Sportsman, Hull
We were all healthy and on form for this one, but had a real job getting everyone involved. Not sure why, but we've learned not to worry. By the end everyone was dancing, so job done. Onwards! Merry Christmas to all who've supported us this year and we'll see you next month bright and breezy.

December 2008 Gig 70 Sun Inn, Beverley.
We were resplendent tonight with new fairy lights, an elf hat and deely-boppers. Look and learn Oasis, THIS is how to be down with the kids! It was packed tonight, so we must be doing something right, and Tony, thankfully, had made a recovery from his man-flu contracted earlier in the week. Finally, special thanks for the Beverley Scooter Club contingent who turned out in numbers to see us. See you all in February, and have a recession-free Christmas.

November update Gig 69 Polar Bear, Hull.
We played this gig amid much rumour that the Polar Bear could be staging its last few gigs due to pending court action from an aurally-devastated neighbour.   Highpoint of the evening was Carl's rousing speech to the masses. It was the kind of speech that Churchill, JFK or Martin Luther King would have made if only they'd known how to swear properly. Another great night in a great venue.

November 2008 Gig 68 Bilton British Legion Club, Bilton.
Nice to be back at Bilton, as it's one of the freindliest venues to play. So much so, that we like to road-test new songs here knowing that if we cock them up, the knowledgable crowd know we're trying! Tonight's debuttantes were "Molly's Chambers" by Kings of Leon, and "Dani California" by Chili Peppers. Both were actually hiccup-free, and noone was left needing first aid. Buffet was great as ever, and even John's meat-free needs were catered for. Bloody molly-coddled, that lad. See you all in the new year!

October Update Gig 68 Highway, Hull.
Hull City are joint top of the Premier League tonight, so I half expected the gig to be a dream too in which a passing record producer sees us and signs us up for a ten album megabuck deal, with a chocolate fountain thrown in. Actually, the latter didn't happen, but our voices held up despite the onset of man-flu, so we should be grateful for small mercies. Lots of friends turned up tonight (thank you all) to help us through the verses. Oh, and more dates will be arranged for next year at Pam and Terry's request, so we'll see you next time.

October update Gig 67 Haven Arms, Hedon
Private wedding party for two old friends. Everyone seemed to have a good time tonight, and we only had to play one hour-long set before the disco. Nice work.

October 2008 Gig 66 Sun Inn, Beverley
Full House again tonight - the Credit Crunch doesn't seem to stand in the way of Beverley boozers, thanks God! We're on a bit of a roll now, and are playing consistently well (for us anyway!) in our busy build-up to Xmas. Tony continued his practice of videoing a couple of songs as he sings which always makes us laugh on YouTube. Shame we are so loud that his phone pops a bit. We've had to stop taking bookings now 'til the new year to keep our sanity and to learn new stuff. Got to keep you all guessing you see......

September update Gig 65 Polar Bear, Hull
Turned up tonight to see that the stage had been enlarged. Hurrah! We could now set up with the drums centre-stage, which brought balance to the all-important band Feng Shui. Although this was tempered by John's pre-soundcheck fart. As Niels remarked "That was SOME smell!". John went and cleared his head while we played with the house smoke machine, and marvelled at the fairy light backdrop. Great venue, this. We'd had a few weeks off, and were a little bit rusty, but the crowd as ever was ace and appreciated our efforts. Thank You! Oh, and if you go to Polar Bear, sign their petition to fend off the Noise Regulators. It's a live music venue and is precious!!

September 2008 Gig 64 Beaver, Beverley.
Invited to play here for the first time, so we weren't sure what to expect. First set was quite surreal, as we played well enough to an appreciative audience but everyone watching was very quiet and sober, it being a Thursday night. We didn't give up, however, and by the end of the second set, everyone had woken up and, dare I say it, enjoyed themselves. Oh, and a wheel fell off the trailer during pack-away, so it's a good job 3 of us (not me) are ace welders!

August update Gig 64 Sun Inn Beverley
I was in a drunken haze last week in The Sun when I noticed they had no band down for tonight, so I bullied Debbie into putting us on! Glad I did, too. We'd all got bored with playing a similar set order for months, so we shuffled everything up and it worked a treat. Weird to play some of the songs where they fell, but everyone present seemed to like it. Even Hanging on the Telephone worked right.
We're recording a five-track demo on Sunday, so you can soon enjoy the Birdafraider sound in the comfort of your own lounge/sauna/iron lung. You lucky people!

August 2008 Gig 63 British Legion Club, Bilton
Invited to play for our secong gig here, we were looking forward to this as it's a lovely venue with enthusiastic audiences, bingo and a buffet to boot. We started off well until we got to our "problem child" song, Hanging on the Telephone. Sure enough, it misbehaved, had to be excused and sent to it's room half way through. Then Niels suffered a roving contact lens, and played part of the second set with monocular vision. Things recovered however and normal service was resumed, thank God. Many thanks to everyone , and a further visit is planned in November, so see you then.

July update Gig 62 Sportsman, Hull
Had planned for a weekend off, but Pam rang us earlier in the week and asked if we were free. We weren't doing anything so were glad to oblige. Sunday night, so it was a little quieter than usual, but sometimes this is better. Thanks to all who did come and we'll see you next time.

July update Gig 61 Private gig, Country Park, Hull
What a huge room at the Country Park! This was a wedding party and we dressed up for the occasion with ties and everything! Felt like extras from The Blues Brothers, but it was great fun. Nice crowd and the happy couple seemed to enjoy it, so job done. Month off now, so see you on September 4th at the Beaver in Beverley, and have a great summer!

July update Gig 60 Polar Bear, Hull
Tonight we had the luxury of a support act in the shape of Tom Gorringe, a singer/guitarist who plays a mixture of original material and covers. Check him out if you can, as he's got a great voice and plays effortlessly on the old six-string. See our links page for his website. So, on we went to play for a nicely warmed-up audience, We played much better than last week (no bloopers!) and had a smoke machine too (thanks Carl!). Thanks to all who danced and I promise not to use any more brackets. (honest!).

July 2008 Gig 59 Sun Inn, Beverley.
Again, the pub seemed worryingly devoid of punters until about 9.20 when everyone came in. I think they all hide around the corner giggling, knowing we're crapping ourselves with worry. First things first, our first set was shambolic, even though we'd rehearsed only two nights earlier with no problems. Must have been the heat. We were getting some old songs back up to scratch and sprinkled a coupled of new ones in too. Second set was good though and restored the viewers' faith! Thanks to all who came and see you all soon at Polar Bear next week.

June 2008 Gig 58 Highway, Hull.
Arrived to find that management had changed again! Terry of Sprinhead fame is now at the helm and made us feel welcome by doing his trademark introduction before we went on. Pub seemed to be very empty at 9pm, but suddenly filled thanks God just before we went on. PLayed well tonight, and especially pleased to be playing with our full PA again. Next stop Sun Bev.

May 2008 Gig 57 Bilton British Legion Club.
This was a last minute booking after the scheduled band had to pull out. We hadn't played for a month due to Niels' New York trip, and our newly-mended power amp being untested meant we were flying by the seat of our pants! First things first, what a great club! Very welcoming and easy to get a great sound. Riding on the crest of City's promotion, everyone was in party mood and we had a right laugh, especially when we played wrong (we don't charge for those notes!). Hope to see you all back here soon. Deeeeanoo!!!

April Update Gig 56 Highway, Hull.
We were playing for new Mine Hosts tonight, so we wanted to set a good example. Then we realized the new Management were old friends from the Queens in Hedon (where we've played before), so all was well! Couple of hiccups in soundcheck were remedied by actually turning the P.A. speakers on (Jeeeesus, Niels...) and away we went. Played much better this week. Thanks to all who cheered, and we were given an extra date in June, so see you all soon!

April 2008 Gig 55 Sun Inn, Beverley.
No-one was ill, the PA sound was ace (thanks to Tony's old faithful amp), and the pub was full of fine supportive folk. Thank Christ for that, cos we played like we had bag-pipes for hands! Criminy. This was a real tour-de-force of bloopers, but we know not to take ourselves too seriously and I think people actually like to watch us cock-up. We even had to give out biscuits as an apology. You don't get that with Bono! Thanks to everyone who came, and we'll see you next time.

March Update Gig 54 Polar Bear
Gig at Sportsman was cancelled at the last minute due to throat lurgy. Poor Tony coud hardly speak let alone sing. We hate letting people down, but in this case doing the gig would have been punishment for everyone. After that disappointment we were all looking forward to a good night at Polar Bear but soon after setting up BOTH power amps decided to call it a day within minutes of each other. We struggled on with one spare amp and I think the frustration actually payed off because we played our socks off. Big repair bill looming..... now where's my piggy bank.....

January Update Gig 53 Polar Bear, Hull. It rained again tonight, a lot, and we thought no-one would come out bearing in mind it was terrible out and everyone is skint. Again. But...come 9.30 the pub filled and there were lots of familiar faces to play to. Thank you all for coming!! We're having a month off now, so until Sportsman on March 1st, TTFN.

January 2008 Gig 52 Sun Inn, Beverley. Happpppy New Year!! Boy were we rusty tonight! Portly, Turkey-Stuffed and Jowly. And that was just the crowd....Seriously, though, this was a good 'un. During soundcheck the place was fairly empty and we were resigned to entertaining the bar staff for the evening, but it filled up in the space of about 30 mins! Groovy. Thanks to everyone for a good laugh despite the rain and general January skint-ness and we'll see you next time.

December update Gig 51 H & D Scooter Club Xmas Party.  The Charleston Club is a great venue...... if you don't mind getting over a ton of gear up the stairs! (I bet Bono & The Edge don't get to trap their fingers between a bannister and a bass cab) Once in place, we had a hoot, playing just one longer set of our fave stuff to an R&B-mad audience. We'd like to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome. They even cheered our American stuff!  Love playing Scooter gigs......See you all next year. Have a good 'un!

December update Gig 50 Sportsman, Hull. God it was freezing tonight! Some of the usuals seemed to have stayed away presumably frozen to death or skint after the Xmas run-in. Anyway those that were there enjoyed themselves and a good laugh was had by all.

December 2007 Gig 49 Polar Bear, Hull. Packed house tonight, with lots of enthusiasm. Ace. We played well and were aided by the strippermoshers who provided splendid entertainment, so much so that Tony joined in and revealed his process....(D'you mind, we've got food uncovered over here!) Also tonight saw Tony's guitar debut on Oliver's Army and Carl's zero-tolerance at chucking-out time! Epic.....

November update Gig 48 Private Party. Again, we were told we were too loud in soundcheck! When will they ever learn? We sounded great, according to the same people at last orders...Thanks to Rachael and Nick for inviting us. It was a hoot! PS: Who is Steve Lodge anyway?

November update Gig 47 The Wheatsheaf, Kirkella. Children in need gig, this one. The Wheatsheaf managed to raise over £650 over the weekend, so well done! As for the gig, we were told we were too loud in soundcheck...so we carried on at the same volume. The plaintifs were rocking themselves daft by the end, seduced by the power of ROCK.

November 2007 Gig 46 The Sun, Beverley. CANCELLED - due to a throat infection affecting Tony. Sincere apologies to Debbie at The Sun, and all who turned up to see us. We were that busy trying to sort out cover, that we forgot to post a message here.

October update Gig 45- Polar Bear, Hull.  Technically, everything worked tonight apart from "All these thing that I have done" by the Killers. It went wrong in monumental fashion and was so bad that the police taped off the stage while the Crash Investigation Team looked into a possible cause. Chris was last seen helping them with their enquiries.......

October 2007 Gig 44 - The Highway, Hull.  Hmm, sometimes the gods are against you. Tonight we set up our brand new lighting rig.....and Niels discovered that he'd left the power adaptor at home. So.. he had to make a 30 mile round trip to get it before we could even soundcheck. Still, the lights were ace when they fired up. Oh, then the bass drum mike decided to sound rubbish, so we sorted that. Then John's mike gave up. Cocking-heck! We finally finished soundcheck 5 mins before going on for the first set. Turned out to be a great gig though with lots of friends in support. And we even had Karl and Louise taking some proper photos of us in action (See links page). Phew...Don't think I can cope with another night like this again....where's me valium.....

September Update Gig 44 - Sun Inn, Beverley. Loads of friends came to this Friday night gig and it was a good job they did as we played, shall we say, with the technique of Mr. Blobby. For some reason, they still cheered God bless 'em. Good atmosphere and the ability to laugh at ourselves when we're crap got us through....

September update Gig 43 - Sportsman, Hull. Sunday night gig so it was a bit quieter than usual. Nevertheless, we took the oportunity to blood a couple of new songs, having first apologised for the potential carnage that could have resulted. Both went down very well though, and we're looking foward to polishing them up for Sun Inn in a fortnight.

September 2007 Gig 42 - Polar Bear, Hull. Blimey it was hot! Council's noise regs mean doors/windows have to be kept closed, so it tuned into a boil-in-the-bag atmosphere. Good fun though, with lots of familiar faces (thank you!) and special mention to the stag-night gang and their poor cross-dressed subject. He'll have a hazy memory of loud music and an errant mirkin.....marvellous.

August update - Gig 41 Highway, Hull. Arranged lat last minute to help Andy out due to a late cancellation by another band. Always nice to help out our old mucker in his time of need.

August 2007 - Gig 40 Hull & District Scooter Club Rally, Elloughton. First day back after our summer hols, we played this gig at Ionians Club. This was the last night of the rally so everyone was up for it. We went on at 9ish for an hour, and then The Rile came on to finish the night. Really enjoyed it and feel that we gave a good account of ourselves. Thanks to The Rile and to John for doing the sound for us. Hopefully we'll get asked again next year.

July update Gigs 38 and 39. Dorchester, Hull. Rained all night. Empty pub. Whipped 'em up into a mild fidget, then left.
Next day we played at Party in the Park at Highway to raise money for flood charity. Our first trailer gig. (Does that make us trailer park trash?) Enjoyed not having to set our gear up, and having a beer watching other bands for a change. Tony's dad video'd us:- Although we look like 4 Rampton out-patients, we weren't bad really. I'm the best looking though......

July 2007 Gig 37 Highway, Hull. Good gig this one as it's our closest to home. Memorable points were the token bloke who stands in front of the band with his arms in the air facing the crowd (why do people do that?), and Tony's Norman Collier impression in the last song. Priceless....

June update Gig 36 Polar Bear, Hull. I'm writing this a month later as I forgot to do it earlier. Oops. From what I can remember, it was a hoot as usual. See you back here in September after our hols.

June 2007 Gig 35 Blackies Club, Brough. Happy 40th Phil and John, and to everyone for making us feel welcome.

May Update Gig 34 Polar Bear, Hull. Home fixture for us. Great turn out as usual. The place was writhing come the second set and there was some top dancing on display! Well done, you know who you are! See you back here in a month's time.

May 2007 Gig 33 Sun Inn, Beverley. The new management at The Sun honoured our prior booking (thanks!) so we wanted to return the favour with a good gig. We were joined by 50 Lady Pirates on a birthday pub crawl so it was quite literally "15 birds on a front-man's chest!" They were a hoot and created a great atmosphere. Our new additions to the set went down well too. Thanks to all who sang along when we forgot the words and we'll be back here in September. HAhhaar Jim Lad...etc

April Update Gig 32 Highway, Hull. Good to see our old pal Andy landlording here now after his move from King Billy. This was a thunderingly good gig with loads of friends who'd turned up to show support and have their ears massaged. Some craayzee dancers on show strutting their stuff helped to make this one of our best-laugh gigs to date. Bit of a break now while we change the set a bit. Where's me songbook.....

April 2007 Gig 31. Polar Bear, Hull. First gig using our new trailer (awesome handling, dude). Good to be back on home turf again and playing to a good turnout. This included the world's drunkest (and fragrant) human who entertained the crowd in his own way. Thanks to Carl, and to all our friends who came. See you again next month.

March update
Gig 30 Harry Charlesworth, Scunthorpe. Sad news: John's van has finally gone to the great good's yard in the sky, so we had to hire a van for this one. Hardly a full house, but we got our heads down and did our best to please the passing clientele. Some nights are just not meant to rock I suppose. Still, at least we had a van with a radio for once!

March update Gig 29 Queens Hotel, Bridlington. Another late night at the seaside for us. The pub was disappointingly quiet as everyone seemed to have spent the day watching the six nations rugby and had gone home to sleep St Patrick's day away by the time we arrived. Ho hum. Good reception from those who did stay out though. Cheers...

March 2007 Gig 28, Polar Bear. First of several Polar Bear dates this year, this was a great night from the word go. The place was bouncing by the end and, as ever here, the audience was fantastic. Thanks to Carl and the boys and to all who came and sang along. Oh, and a total lunar eclipse occurred during the second set - nothing to do with the gig, but I just thought I'd mention it. TTFN.

February 2007 Gig 27, Sportsman, Hull. As Chris had been away with work, we hadn't got together for over a month. A last minute rehearsal was needed to remember each others' names and to blow away the cobwebs, but we weren't that rusty really. This was one of our smoothest gigs to date; No technical problems and no-one had a cold! Although Niels did his best to catch one at last minute. It felt good to be back and a special thanks to Tubbs, for bringing his crew. Happy Birthday, matey! Next gig, Scunthorpe.....

STOP PRESS - POLAR BEAR GIG ON 20 JAN 2007 CANCELLED (BY THE VENUE)

January Update Gig 26, Dorchester Hotel, Hull. What a difference a day makes....Despite being only the day after gig 25 the technical gremlins have vanished and Tony's throat was much better, so we managed nearly a full set with perfect sound. Shame about the lack of audience, though the welcome appearance of a few friendly faces at half time made the effort worthwhile. A return visit is being planned as we speak. Looking forward to our next gig by which time the poorly power amp should be fit again.

January 2007 Gig 25; Stuart's 40th at Eastrington. Our first gig of 2007 saw the unwelcome return of technical gremlins which conspired with Tony's throat infection to make sure that we weren't at our best. A shortened set and less than perfect sound were the unfortunate result, but a friendly (and pissed) crowd seemed to enjoy it, just as much as we enjoyed the fab buffet. Strange how things always seem better after a pork pie. I can't finish this report without mentioning the astonishing volume of the disco - it measured 8.8 on the richter scale.

Decmber update Gig 24; Cross Keys, Hull. Full of turkey and Xmas pud, we needed to work off the pounds tonight. Unfortunately it was a night of gremlins for us. John developed a crackly lead, and one of the PA's power amps blew so Niels had to do an "Ed Harris in Apollo 13" and managed to power it back up with some plastic tubes and a cornflakes box. He then proceded to break a bass string in the very next song! Crummy luck or what. However, the great turn-out was very patient with us and it turned out to be a great night in the end. Many thanks to all who watched and we can't have such bad luck next time...Surely....

December 2006 Gig 23: The Sun Inn, Beverley. No sore throats, no travel problems, and no end of friends turned up, some from as far afield as Sheffield! This was one of our most enjoyable gigs ever. Great place to play with nice low-ceiling intimacy and good beer. Ace. Three more gigs arranged at The Sun for next year. Band Xmas night out next week. Hurrah! Where's that corkscrew....

November update Gig 22: Inkerman Tavern, Hull. Second gig on consecutive nights saw us having to rest Tony's croaky voice for half the gig. Harking back to our early days as a trio, John and Chris shared the singing in the first set (Blimey, it's hard work!) with Tony coming on for the second. His voice held up much better than he thought it would and we would like to thank everyone who came and supported us. Also thanks to Justin and the crew for asking us back to our first ever venue. Lovely place to play.

November update Gig 21: Polar Bear, Hull. First of a two-nighter, this. A couple of us had inherited John's cold from last week and were a bit wheezy, but no problems to report, thank god. Yet further refurbishment to the stage since last time! Carl and the boys are doing a great job and we always enjoy playing here. Great night, but Tony is struggling with his voice for tomorrow night.......

November update Gig 20: Queens Hotel, Bridlington. This was a real test of resolve! We had to follow a fund-raising race night which over-ran 'til 10.30; We were late due to problems with the van, and couldn't soundcheck as a result; John had the lurgy (well done, trooper) and we had to play a reduced set due to time constraints. BUT..... we had a ball! One of the maddest crowds ever made it a hoot. Even John's jazz explorations in Joe Jackson were cheered! Thanks to Ben for his support, we hope to be back soon for more mayhem in the new year. Ace!

November 2006 Gig 19: Queens Head, Hedon. Some new additions to the set after our month off together with a re-jigged running order made a nice change for us. Great crowd too, who really got into the swing of things. More gigs here to be arranged for the new year. Two back-to-back gigs next week. Gulp. Better get some shut-eye now, while we can!

October 2006 Gig 18: Nelthorpe Arms, South Ferriby. First gig on the "south bank" was good fun. The Nelthorpe Arms auditorium is intimate to say the least but it was nice to be able to play a gig like this with lower volume and a laid back feel. Everyone seemed to enjoy it too, so thanks to all who came. We now have a month off from gigging to learn some new material. Hurrah, I hear you cry! TTFN.

September Update Gig 17: Polar Bear, Hull. Aaah, back to full power on PA front. Magic! Once again the lads at Polar Bear had some new bits of stage for us to try out for them. At this rate it'll be like Shefield Arena come Christmas! Great night as usual, Thanks to 'em for making us feel welcome and to all who turned out. See you here again on 24th November with our new set.

September Update Gig 16: Heritage, Hull. Missing our usual PA speakers which were on the operating table, we used Tony's gear which I feel did a decent job under the circumstances. John's new amp sounded good too. We played well and the audience (eventually) got into the proceedings. Special thanks to the Polar Bear gang for their support and we'll see you next Saturday.

September 2006 Gig 15: Sportsman, Hull. First gig back from our hols, so we were fresh-faced and twinkling. First set went well and we were just hitting top form with our favourite part of the second set (last four songs) when, technical disaster! P.A. gave up the ghost! Bugger. Not sure what's up yet but we'll get our tech-heads onto it ASAP. Apologies to Pam and all for short-changing you, but we'll make it up to you all next time.

August Update Gig 14: Red Lion, Anlaby. Much head-scratching and panic in soundcheck, but realised "banjo" bass drum sound was due to new band logo shrinking on front drum head. Tony was battling a sore throat throughout the night but we still did a good'un. Nice venue to play and we hope to be back later this year or early next. We're all off for a break now for a couple of weeks on our yachts in the Med. (Hmm...yeah right...)

August Update Gig 13: Karen's 40th birthday, Sandholme. Good old English weather meant we had to play indoors at last minute. Thanks to mine hosts who did a sterling job, and made us feel very welcome. High points were the top buffet (I Predict a Diet!), very nice people, and a surreal feeling, when the sun went down, getting applause from invisible people sheltering at the bottom of the garden. Rock The Gazebo!!

August 2006 Gig 12: Polar Bear, Hull. Only had 48hrs to prepare for this one. Thanks to Carl and the boys for asking us to debut their refurbishment. Cracking venue! Squeaky-clean new stage was just the job and we had a great night. Audience was bouncing and we are looking forward to returning on 30th September.

July Update Gig 11: Sun Inn, Beverley. Our Beverley debut was another sweaty gig (anyone remember clouds?) and the Balmy Army was out in force. To play to so many familiar faces together with a great Sun Inn contingent was a real cockle-warmer for us and we played well from the off. Moment of the night was Niels' Andrex-plastered-forehead, and "what's everybody laughing at?" expression. Ace.

July Update Gig 10: King Billy, Hull. Cracking hailstorm on way to gig. Good turnout, frozen meteorological precipitation notwithstanding. John broke a string to great effect in second set, but kept it together thanks to his experience and swearing. I do believe we are on a roll! Beverley next. Just time for us to get our make-up on again......

July Update Gig 9: Queens Head, Hedon - Hot, Sweaty and packed-out. One or two technical gremlins to start with (Norman Collier's microphone), but the great audience helped to make this a night to remember for us. We are looking forward to returning to the Queens later in the year. Nice one folks!!

July 2006 Gig 8: Norland, Hessle on the day Eng-er-land were dumped out on penalties... again. We were gutted ourselves, and weren't sure about how people would feel about four noisy gits spoiling the wake. As things turned out, it was a fantastic night. Thanks to all who came (and danced). No thanks to Sven. Further dates to be arranged at Norland soon.

June 2006 Inkerman Tavern gig postponed due to refurbishment (the pub, not us!). New date to be arranged soon.

May 2006 Gig 7: Sportsman 20th May was a great night. John Niels and Chris did the first set, with new vocalist Tony coming on for the second set. Tony has added another dimension to the band and we seem to have gone up a gear now. He gives us a bit more presence as well as improving the band's sound. Thanks to Pam and all who turned out to support. Good stuff. Inky next. Onward!

May Statement:  We are delighted to confirm the rumours that Birdafraider have signed a new front man. We have signed Tony "Stextiles" Weeks for an undisclosed fee. We are looking at bringing Stex on at half time at the forthcoming Sportsman gig and are all very pleased with the situation. His English isn't that good yet, but he is taking lessons and can already order sandwiches and ask for crisps.

Newsflash: "Birdafraider reported to be in talks with vocalist. More news will follow when we have more information...."  - Sunday Spurt.

April 2006 Gig 6: Sportsman, Hull. We were all afflicted with bird flu and there were some questionable vocal moments from Chris who had a fluffy clacker all night. The crowd as ever here were supportive though and didn't laugh too much. It was also the debut of our new PA. Niels was at the helm and did a sterling job. We're back here next month (20th) so hope to see you all there again. God bless!

March Update 2 Gig 5: King Billy, Lowgate went well. Thanks for all who supported us and well done Niels for defying medical science by playing with a cold. We feel we played well and it was better playing facing the bar rather than next to it like last time. Although it was harder to shout for drinks! Thanks to Baz for PA again. Sportsman next week. On!

March Update 1 This month we have mostly been buying a PA. Nearly got everything we need, can't wait to hear it at full blast. Next Gig at King Billy coming up - should be another good night as plenty of support promised! See you there.

February update Gig 4: Tubbs' Birthday bash at Charleston Club went very well. 200+ there and we played very well. Thanks for Baz for the sound again; to Mark and his friends for inviting us to play, and also to Tartan Kath who travelled all the way from Edinburgh to show us her arse. Super.

February 2006 Gig 3: Great night at The Sportsman. Always a good venue. Played much better for some reason, maybe due to playing on a stage (!) instead of the main floor. A "personality lift" perhaps! Thanks to the Gang for their fantastic support as usual, and to BassBin Baz for the ace sound. Return date to be arranged with Pam a.s.a.p. The set now to be revised over the next few weeks. Now, where's that Cliff Richard songbook...........

January 2006 Gig 2: KIng Billy. More nervous this time than the first. Chris and John were both afflicted with throat lurgy. My voice is fine but I can't sing a note at the best of times. Thanks to one and all for turning out and to Baz for doing a great job with the sound. Return visit on 29/3. Next gig is Sportsman on Hedon Road, Hull Friday 3rd Feb.

December update Gig 1: Inkerman Tavern. Thanks to everone who turned out and made it a good night. Without support there'd be no point in doing this. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, so we can't have been too bad.

December 2005- A week to go til debut! - Lots of support promised so should be a good night. Be good to see our friends there, I hope they'll still want to know us afterwards
